As a newcomer to Digital Photography Magazine Tips and Hints I thought I would gather together a collection of some of the best free photography advice I could find on the web. As the weather has been particularly poor recently I have been busy scanning the web for more advice for a fair weather photographer like me.
The beginners guide to landscape photography is a well written article on the topic. The author covers a range of topics from finding a landscape, picking a viewing point before moving on to composition advice and setting up the camera modes etc correctly to get the best picture. 4/5
Outdoor photography features an article on create slow-motion blurs. One of the first things I did with my original SLR was experiment with the B-Setting and create not very artistic blur patterns from car headlights. This article takes a more structured approach to the subject and offers some inspiring ideas. 3/5
The Digital Photography School has a great article among a great number of other great articles about how to bypass portrait mode on your digital camera and get better pictures. Nice article with lovely example pictures takes you through using aperture priority mode create a blurry background and gives you the creativity back that the automatic mode removes. 5/5
